Welcome to Gorsefield Primary School

I am very proud to be the Principal of Gorsefield Primary School, working in partnership with Forward as One Church of England Academy Trust and supported by a highly skilled and dedicated team of teachers and support staff.

Gorsefield Primary School is a two-form entry primary school, with an integrated nursery, serving children from 3 - 11 years.  Gorsefield is a thriving school situated in the heart of the very community to which it serves.

Gorsefield Primary School cannot only offer the very best standard of education to all of our children but a positive, safe and welcoming learning environment to all. We aspire to fulfil the Gorsefield mission to INSPIRE and CHALLENGE all children and adults to EXCEL in everything they do, now and well-beyond their primary schooling

Our exceptional Learning without Limits Curriculum is unique and bespoke to Gorsefield Primary School, written by our staff, specifically for our community. We truly believe that there is no limit to what our children (and adults!) can achieve, recognising how we can embrace challenge, overcome barriers and celebrate our individual differences. Our curriculum provides all children with exciting, creative and meaningful learning experiences, which inspire hope, ignite the imagination and instil a love of learning for life.  

From our senior leaders to our youngest children, we believe that everyone is a leader, regardless of their age or title. Our school departments embody our commitment to excellence and to celebrate the learning goals that underpin our Learning without Limits curriculum. Children develop their leadership skills by working collaboratively, making sustained and meaningful impact across our school, trust and wider community.

At Gorsefield, we are ‘one team’. Our pupils, families and wider community are vital partners in ensuring a high standard of education. Children learn best when there are strong links between home and school, and we encourage families to work in partnership with us to successfully help each child to achieve their full potential. Gorsefield’s incredibly popular ‘Learn Alongside’ opportunities give parents and carers first-hand experiences of being in the classroom, seeing how we truly allow all to ‘Learn without Limits’. 

At Gorsefield, we are also dedicated to building a whole school community, which thrives on mutual respect, values and positive relationships. All members of the Gorsefield Team ensure to provide a calm and stimulating environment where ‘green’ behaviour and mutual respect is modelled by everyone and where everyone is valued, always.
