School Meals

From September 2026, Gorsefield Primary School is delighted to welcome Miquill Catering as our new school meals provider.

Following a thorough review of several catering companies, we chose Miquill because of their excellent reputation for providing fresh, nutritious and high-quality meals in primary schools. Their commitment to healthy eating, quality ingredients, and creating a positive dining experience closely reflects our own values and vision for our pupils.

Fresh, Nutritious Meals Every Day

Miquill is passionate about helping children develop healthy eating habits through delicious, balanced meals that are both nutritious and enjoyable.

From September, pupils will benefit from:

• Freshly prepared, high-quality meals.
• A varied menu designed specifically for primary-aged children.
• Balanced lunches that meet all National School Food Standards.
• A welcoming dining experience that encourages children to try new foods and enjoy mealtimes with their friends.

Our aim is to ensure lunchtime remains a happy, healthy and enjoyable part of every child's school day.

Supporting Every Child

The wellbeing and safety of our pupils remain our highest priority.

Miquill will work closely with the school to ensure that all:

• Medical dietary requirements
• Food allergies
• Cultural requirements
• Religious dietary needs are carefully supported.

All parents and carers are asked to complete an updated dietary requirements form to ensure our catering team has the most accurate and up-to-date information for every child. Please inform the school office if your this requires updating due to changes in your child's dietary requirements. 

Ordering and Payments

There will be no changes to how school meals are ordered or paid for.

Parents and carers will continue to use SchoolGrid to:

• Order meals
• Manage meal choices
• Make payments (where applicable)

This means families can continue using the same simple system they are already familiar with.

Our new Miquill menus will be available before the start of the Autumn Term.
