History
Our Learning Without Limits History curriculum plays a crucial role in fostering a deeper understanding of the past while supporting children’s personal growth. By exploring diverse historical events, figures, and cultures, the Learning Without Limits Curriculum ensures students to think critically using their disciplinary skills. As Historians, we want children to have a strong understanding of key historical events, concepts and themes as well as the chronology of these. Key knowledge in the History curriculum is purposefully planned through the progression of disciplinary concepts. Our Learning Without Limits has key substantive concepts across the curriculum tied in with the disciplinary concepts which supports and helps to prove substantive concepts. Using this, children can use and analyse primary and secondary sources and are encouraged to think critically and analyse history using their disciplinary skills.
